About Us
Nicola Forbes Martin
Nicola has been a licensed beauty professional and educator for over 27 years. She is considered an expert and travels nationally and internationally educating her peers. She is committed to leveling up the future and seasoned beauty pros trichology and texture education. Her signature UPP ™ Tricho-Cosmetology ™ Program was created as a result of the stories of frustration of her trichology clients. Nicola believes that adding trichology education at the entry level and to the seasoned stylist would help to restore the clients faith in the stylist and empower the stylist as well.

The UPP ™ program gives the cosmetology student the ability to understand and identify the type of hair loss that they see behind the chair and communicate effectively to their client. UPP ™ will cover the science of hair growth, how hair falls and the contributing factors.
Most if not all licensed cosmetologist ignore and shy away from any hair loss questions.
We are not armed with any education at the entry level to support our clients suffering from hair loss. As a result we are blamed for the hair loss and ultimately lose a client. In the wave of social media it can be damaging to the cosmetologists reputation and bottom line.

The UPP ™ program student will be armed with the knowledge to educate the client, identify hair loss in the early stages and customize preventative protocols and services that address the hair and scalp specifically for each individual client.

In my trichology practice I am seeing children as young as eight years old.
